2008 Buffalo State College Foundation Scholarship Gala

Buffalo State College President Muriel A. Howard and Gala Chairs Anthony J. Baynes and Eunice A. Lewin, hosted the 11th annual Buffalo State College Foundation Scholarship Gala.

The fundraising event was held on Saturday, April 26, 2008 at the Connecticut Street Armory in Buffalo, New York. This year’s Gala, “The Power of the Arts” surpassed its fundraising goal of $250,000 and was a sell-out, with attendance of nearly 550 guests. All proceeds benefited the All College Honors Program.

The Buffalo State College Foundation helps award scholarships through various college departments and organizations. Its mission is two-pronged: recruiting bright young scholars with the All College Honors Program who have unmet financial needs and assisting the college in its ability to enhance special programs in the arts, sciences, and educational fields.

The Foundation is a not-for-profit, tax-exempt organization whose primary purpose is to raise private dollars on behalf of the college.
