Anthony Baynes, Chairman of the AJ Baynes Group, has been selected as a regional finalist in the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
The region, covering Upstate and Western New York, Western Pennsylvania, and West Virginia, includes some of the most prestigious and forward thinking entrepreneurs in the country. After a long nomination and selection process, which included interviews and meetings with various members of the selection committees, Anthony was selected as a finalist for the region. The selection committee includes representatives from business, academia, and the media. The selection committee then awards exceptional candidates with the regional finalist title.
The Entrepreneur of the Year region winner will be announced at a black tie gala on Friday, 27 June 2008 in Pittsburgh, PA. This regional winner will then go on to compete for the national award to be announced in November.
The Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards are part of the Ernst & Young Strategic Growth Forum, the country’s most prestigious gathering of high-growth, market-leading companies. The national Entrepreneur of the Year Awards is the largest gathering of entrepreneurs in America and the culminating event of the Strategic Growth Forum. This year’s Forum will be held November 12-15 in Palm Springs, CA.
